Nearly exclusively composed of samples, this seminal LP is considered a must have by music specialists. To Shadow's recollection, it took about a year before to become an acclaimed success as we know it.

Shadow's homies Lyrics Born (with the white wig), Chief Xcel (carrying records) and Beni B (with the cap) were planned on set. The owner's cat however was not!

This was shot in a Sacramento, CA in a records store called Records. The background was never intended to be blurry, this masterpiece is only the result of inappropriate settings... Some would call this serendipity!

Shadow’s first single post Endtroducing, and intended as an antidote to the "Chillout, Trip-Hop" pigeonholing. Ironically, it would anticipate the UK Big Beat movement to a ‘t.’ One of Shadow’s highest-charting singles in the UK, and one of the most well-received.

Somewhere in 1997, a handful were created in the Mo Wax studios to be sent to various DJs for remixes, as it contains the raw samples. Josh confirmed that to date, the only official "Number Song (Remix)" made is the Cut Chemist one, released end of that year on MW086DJ.

A sampler that dropped ahead of the Latyrx LP. Even though Mo Wax was their licensee in the UK, the logo is nowhere to be seen.

Shadow produced "Latyrx" and "The Quickening (The Wreckoning Part II)".

The first TP dropped late 97 but it was in the streets in 98. It contains the Cut Chemist remix emanating from the above DAT and the remix of "Painkiller" made for Depeche Mode. Apparently Mute let the remix be released out of their sight.

This compilation features most songs produced for the UK market with the intention to be released in the US. Just 20000 copies were supposed to be pressed but after the success of Endtroducing, FFRR overruled it.
